How do you ship orders?
We ship using USPS with tracking on every order, so you can follow your package from our door to yours. You’ll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.
Do you accept returns?
Because our products are small-batch and made for personal use, we don’t accept returns. If your order arrives damaged or there’s an issue with what you received, reach out with your order number and photos and we’ll replace it.
What happens if my package is damaged in transit?
If anything arrives broken or leaking, contact us right away with photos of the box and products. We’ll work with you to send a replacement—shipping damage is covered on our end.
Can I use discount codes or promo codes?
Yes. When we run promotions, you can enter a promo code at checkout before you complete your order. Only one promo code can be used per order.

How often should I use the products?
Our hero products are designed around wash day—about twice per month for most people—with gentle maintenance in between as needed. Always listen to your hair and adjust frequency based on how your scalp and strands feel.
Which hair types are your products best for?
Genetiques was created by a family of women with different hair types, with a special focus on curly-haired customers and communities of color. The formulas are made to support growth, retention, and scalp health across a range of textures.
My product looks separated or has bits in it. Is that normal?
Yes. Because our products are made with real herbal ingredients, they may naturally settle or separate over time. Give the bottle or jar a good shake or stir before use to redistribute the ingredients.
How long do the products last?
For best results, use oils within about 6 months and shampoo or mask within about 1 year of opening. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Our focus is on small-batch, herbal-forward formulas that combine plant-based ingredients with carefully chosen functional ingredients for stability and performance. Each product page lists the full ingredient list so you can review every component.
What if I have a sensitive scalp or allergies?
Always review the ingredient list before use and patch-test a small amount on your inner arm or behind your ear. If you notice irritation, redness, or discomfort, rinse thoroughly and discontinue use. When in doubt, check with your dermatologist or healthcare provider.
